Who we are
Moondu is a lunar reflection and planning application operated under the Moondu brand by BMR89 LTDA (the public-facing business name used on this website). Contact us at hello@moondu.app. The operator’s exact registered legal name and business address should be verified and added before public release.
Scope
This Policy covers the Moondu iOS app and moondu.app. Moondu is designed to offer lunar phase information, optional reminders, a personal journal, and optional Premium subscriptions. Some practices described below depend on features being enabled in the released app; we will verify and update this document before launch.
Information you provide
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message and any attachments. Please do not send sensitive journal content unless necessary to resolve your request. We use support communications to respond, investigate issues and maintain records needed for legitimate support and legal purposes.
Journal and preferences on your device
The current design stores journal entries, journal tags, completed actions and app preferences locally on your device rather than in a Moondu account. Moondu does not intentionally upload the text of your journal to our servers. Deleting an entry in the app removes the app’s local copy, subject to device-level backups or copies you exported. Apple device backup and synchronization settings may affect where device data is backed up; Moondu does not control Apple’s backup services. If you uninstall the app or change devices, locally stored entries may not be recoverable unless you previously exported or backed them up.
Lunar calculations and notifications
Lunar information is calculated approximately on-device for the experience described in the current app. Illustrations are artistic representations, not scientific imagery. If you enable daily notifications, iOS handles the permission and delivery of local reminders. You can change notification permissions in iOS Settings. We do not need your precise location for the described lunar reflection features; if a future feature requests location, we will explain that separately before enabling it.
Subscriptions, Apple and RevenueCat
When subscriptions are enabled, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We plan to use RevenueCat to validate purchase status and grant Premium access. Apple and RevenueCat may process app-specific or pseudonymous user identifiers, product identifiers, transaction and subscription status, renewal or expiration information, and technical events necessary to administer entitlements, prevent abuse and troubleshoot purchases. We do not receive your complete payment card details from Apple. The exact RevenueCat configuration and any additional SDK data must be checked against the released build before this Policy is finalized. Website information
When you visit moondu.app, the website hosting and delivery provider (Cloudflare) may process standard connection information, such as IP address, request details, timestamps and security signals, to deliver the website and protect it against abuse. This version of the website does not intentionally use advertising pixels or behavioral advertising cookies. If analytics, forms or other tracking tools are added later, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required.
Purposes and legal bases
We process information as needed to provide the app and website, respond to support requests, administer purchases, maintain security and meet legal obligations. Depending on applicable law, the legal bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations and consent (for example, where required for optional features). You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting prior lawful processing.
Sharing and international processing
We share only information reasonably needed by providers that support the service, including Apple for App Store purchases, RevenueCat for subscription administration, and Cloudflare for website delivery. These providers may process data in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards apply. We do not sell your journal entries or use them for targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
Local journal information remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app or the operating system removes its data, subject to backups and exports. Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably needed to address requests, resolve disputes and satisfy legal requirements. Subscription transaction records may be retained by Apple, RevenueCat or us for the periods necessary to administer subscriptions, prevent fraud and comply with law. Deleting the app does not cancel an Apple subscription or necessarily delete provider-side transaction records.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or information about processing, and object to certain uses. Email hello@moondu.app with your request. We may need reasonable verification and may not be able to erase records that must be retained by law or by Apple as the payment provider. You can delete local journal entries in the app, export them where available, manage notifications in iOS Settings and manage subscriptions in your Apple account.
Children
Moondu is designed for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires one. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and respond appropriately.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service, but no device, network or system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and any journal exports.
Changes to this Policy
We may revise this Policy as features, providers or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where required. Material changes will be reflected before the relevant feature is launched.
